SmartLipo™ just got smarter in Columbus, Ohio!

In November of 2007, the FDA approved the NEW SmartLipo™ Laser System 18. Earlier SmartLipo systems were admittedly underpowered because they were principally used by physicians who were not even trained as surgeons. However, a significant increase in power and flexibility was added with the introduction of the SmartLipo 18. This new system will offer much shorter operating times, enhanced comfort and markedly improved results. Hence, SmartLipo18 is sold ONLY TO PLASTIC SURGEONS. Dr. Blome, from Cosmetic Surgery Center of Ohio, Inc., is the only Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in all of Central Ohio to offer his patients the benefits of the NEW SmartLipo 18.

Due to the significant increase in power, the SmartLipo 18 is capable of more quickly removing larger amounts of fat, in a predictable, easy and comfortable manner. The results are smooth and even with much less bruising than with traditional liposuction, because many of the blood vessels are sealed by the laser light. Currently, SmartLipo 18 uses a very small cannula (1.0 - 2.0 mm in diameter) to introduce the laser light into the fatty areas. The laser light gently melts the fat away while the patient listens to music or converses with the staff. The entrance sites are so small that they usually don't need sutures. There is NO GENERAL ANESTHESIA AND NO IV SEDATION. Ease, comfort and spectacular results are now possible with awake patients in an office setting.

There are many different techniques to remove fat: Lipo Dissolve, Mesotherapy, Lunch Time Liposuction, Traditional Liposuction, Lipolysis, Tumescent Liposuction, Ultrasonic Liposuction (UAL), Power Assisted Liposuction (PAL) and lately, Laser Assisted Liposuction (LAL) or Laser Liposuction.
