Botox

Dr. Blome has been successfully treating patients with Botox since 1996. Botox therapy is usually administered to certain muscles of facial expression whose actions cause a less than desirable appearance (i.e.: frown lines, crows feet, down turned corner's of the mouth, forehead wrinkling, etc.). By relaxing the actions of these muscles the wrinkles and lines are softened, become less noticeable and stop the advancement to deeper lines. Because the injected muscles do not function aggressivel, future lines and wrinkles do NOT appear.

Some people mistakenly believe that the face can be expressionless and lack mobility. If properly done, Botox can offer great rewards with the face being animated and bright with expression. The treatment takes only a few minutes and is not painful. Botox therapy can also be used to treat many patients with migraine headaches and is also utilized to treat hyperhydrosis (excess sweating) of the hands and arm pits.
