Forehead Lift

This surgery is an excellent way to restore a fresher, more youthful appearance to the eyes and upper face. Age tends to bring deepening lines and wrinkles to the forehead while the eyebrows descend to cause excess skin to crowd the upper eyelids resulting in a puffy, tired, or sometimes angry appearance.

There are several safe, new techniques that can be employed to turn back the clock and raise these sagging tissues.

Traditional Forehead Lifts

These were done with a large incision that extended from ear to ear over the top of the head. This approach yielded excellent results but problems with scarring and potential hair loss made it less than optimal for many patients.

Endoscopic Forehead Lift

In the 1990's, a new, less invasive approach became available that avoided long incisions. Dr. Blome was the first to introduce this new technique to Columbus in 1994. In fact, he developed an "Endoscopic Forehead Lift Fixation System" to hold the elevated tissues in place. The procedure is done as an outpatient and the results can be spectacular.

Contour Thread Forehead Lift

Some patients can achieve excellent results by an in-office procedure under local anesthesia utilizing Contour Threads which will raise the brows and clear the eyes of excess skin. This procedure is easy and efficient in achieving a more youthful appearance with minimal down-time.
