Silicone Breast Augmentation:

Silicone Breast Implants are now available for cosmetic breast augmentation. After years of extensive testing, at the end of 2006, the FDA approved silicone breast implants for use in cosmetic patients. These new implants offer a significant improvement in texture, softness, and natural appearance.

Biofillers:

"Biofiller" is a general term for any substance that is injected into the skin or subcutaneous areas (just beneath the skin) to help diminish the appearance of wrinkles, thinning of the skin and facial aging. Biofillers such as Collagen, Zyplast, Hylaform and Restylane are all good products, but are rapidly metabolized an removed by the body. Hence, the need for multiple, repeated injections over time.

Artefill is different. It is a new biofiller that offers a quantum leap forward in patient satisfaction. A 5-year study has shown dramatic results with excellent "lasting properties". In fact, Artefill is FDA approved and is the only biofiller that has been allowed to use the term "permanent". Treatments are easy and patients rave about the results.

Skin Rejuvenation:

Traditional laser resurfacing procedures are accompanied by significant down-time because the superficial skin elements have been burned-off, leaving a moist, weeping skin surface. These modalities are susceptible to infection, scarring, and pigmentation abnormalities, to say nothing of the prolonged recovery time lasting up to 12 weeks.

Fraxel is a new laser technology that significantly reduces down-time to a few days, if any. Also the skin is intact and not weeping. Hence, infection and most of the other side-effects seen with traditional laser resurfacing are significantly diminished. In fact, women who have had a Fraxel Laser treatment to the face, can apply make-up and go out to dinner the next day after treatment.
